Celebration Assembly happens on Friday morning. Each week teachers nominate children for a Head Teacher's Award. The children nominated have a bee added to the school's celebration 'Bee Amazing' display in the hall. Children are nominated for showing that they respect their own and others' right to learn and that they demonstrate one of the school's values. This may be shown through a single piece of work or activity that shows real effort or it could be through their application to their learning across the week. They may also be nominated for showing respect for others and following the class charter. Children are celebrated when they put in effort and when they take on a challenge or decide to challenge themselves. Nominated children will receive a 'Head Teacher's Award' certificate to take home.
During Celebration Assembly we also celebrate the achievements of children outside of school. Children often bring in certificates showing progress in various sports or activities they take part in outside of school or they bring in trophies they have been awarded and as part of the assembly we congratulate them.
Children's progress with their Maths Passport is also celebrated in Celebration assembly n when they become a Globetrotter and get their final certificate.
Children who achieve their gold handwriting pencil are also acknowledged in Celebration Assembly.
