The School Governors play a crucial part in ensuring the school is run in line with government guidelines and for the benefit of the local community. Their main aim is to maintain and improve the standard of education for all pupils. The governing body's role is to oversee the development of the school and work alongside the Head Teacher and Leadership Team. There are 3 core strategic functions of governance that the governing body of the school fulfills.
These are:
Ensuring clarity of ethos, vision and strategic direction
The Governors are drawn from the community, parents and teaching and support staff, and play a crucial part in the success of the school. Should you wish to contact a Governor please ask at the school office for details on how to do this.
Minutes of the Full Governing Body meetings are available for all parents to read, so if you would like to see them, please request a copy, free of charge, from the school office.
