Parking

For most school parking is a challenge for parents and we are no different. We encourage parents to car share, walk or park and stride rather than drive all the way to school. However parents do sometimes need to park at the school. Each morning a drive-through drop off system is operated to help with a quick and efficient drop off. Parents can drive into the car park and will be met by staff members who will help the children from the cars and direct them into school. We would encourage all parents to use this system once they are confident that their child knows how to walk around to their classroom independently.

If you do need to use the drop off or to park any mornings please follow the advice below to ensure everyone is using the spaces with the safety of everyone in mind.

Parking at the end of the day is also a challenge and we would again encourage parents to find alternatives to parking directly outside the school. If you do need to do this please only park within the car park and not on the roads of The Mead. Every parking bay should be used and once used, parents can park in 3 rows through the middle. Please ensure all engines are switched off once you are parked to reduce the air pollution. Be aware that if you park in the car park at the end of the day there may a few minutes delay waiting for all drivers to return to their cars and exit the car park.

PARKING IN THE MEAD IS RESTRICTED AND FORBIDDEN BETWEEN 8-9AM AND BETWEEN 3-4PM. PLEASE ENSURE YOU FOLLOW THE PARKING REGULATIONS AND DO NOT PARK HERE AT ANY TIME DURING DROP OFF OR PICK UP. Thank you
