Uniform

We believe that school uniform plays a key role in promoting our ethos. It provides a sense of belonging and identity as a member of Old Basing Infant School community. All pupils are encouraged to wear school uniform and are supported by their parents to do this.  Variations for ethnic or cultural groups will be accommodated and should be discussed personally with the Headteacher.

The main uniform requirements are :-

• A bright green jumper or cardigan with the school logo
• Grey skirt/trousers/shorts/pinafore
• White polo shirt 
• White/grey/green socks or tights
• Black shoes (white or black sandals are permitted in the summer, but should not be open-toed)
• Green checked summer dresses can be worn in warm weather

The P.E. Kit requirements are :-

• A drawstring kit bag 
• A t-shirt - can can be of any colour but must be plain
• Shorts - can be of any colour but must be plain
• Leggings/tracksuit bottoms - can be of any colour but must be plain
• Hooded sweat top - can be of any colour but must be plain
• Trainers - the type with a Velcro fastening are preferable

Extra Equipment :-

• A book bag with the school logo - there are two designs available to choose from
• Water bottle

All items with a school logo are available online from Mapac. 

Friends of Old Basing Schools (F.O.O.B.S.) have a stock of good quality second-hand uniform, particularly logoed jumpers and cardigans and grey items and these can be purchased for a very reasonable price by contacting them at friendsofoldbasingschools@gmail.com

Please be aware that whilst there are non-logoed items available to order from Mapac, any generic uniform can be purchased from a supplier or your choice. Providing your child with logoed PE kit bags, polo shirts and book bag is optional. Any generic items can be used for these.
