World Cup Day - November 2022

On Monday, we celebrated the beginning of the Men's World Cup by having our very own World Cup day in school. The children arrived in the morning full of enthusiasm wearing the colours of the team they were supporting and everyone looked fantastic! After a morning learning about the history of the World Cup (ask your child about Pickles the dog!) and the geography of the nation their class was supporting, many of the children came to the hall to cheer on Gareth Southgate's team. The performance and score were exactly what the children were hoping for. After lots of cheering, chanting and celebrating, the children returned to their classrooms full of joy and optimism. Let's hope this joy and optimism lasts well into December!
