What's been going on in OBIS?

• Bug Hotel St.Mary's church

  This week the children had the opportunity to help build a bug hotel for St Marys church. This bug hotel was designed by the children at OBIS last year, and the PIOCC team built it specifically for the school and to the children's designs. As part of outdoor learning curriculum, the children gathered lots of materials, they thought would help the local wildlife. 

  This is a great opportunity to support the local wildlife and for the children to learn about the wildlife in the area. The children and staff of OBIS are hoping to go back and visit the bug hotel over the year and spot any tiny visitors. 

  

• Basingstoke Christmas Tree Festival

  As part of Basingstoke's Christmas Festivities, we were invited to take part in the Christmas Tree Festival. You will be delighted to know that everyone in Year 1 decorated a bauble to hang on the tree and our OBIS tree looks absolutely brilliant.

  Please take you children along to view the OBIS tree and others in a magical display of Christmas trees as part of an
  ‘Enchanted Forest’ in Festival Place.

  The Enchanted Forest is on display this Saturday 3rd and 10th December
  10am to 7pm
  Upper level Festival Place, next to Costa Coffee.
